CalAirOnline, The New Website is Up and Running!

It's been long over due, but we've finally been able to get out our new website. Chalked full of new content, updated bio's, and a detailed FAQ section, it's a great source to start and get your introduction to flight training, Cirrus ownership, or aircraft management.

When you're new to something like general aviation, frankly, you're at risk. There's a lot of misguided opinions, content, and flat out ignorance on what works best for you or what's going to meet your goals and needs. All to often when you're new to something, you're all too impressionable from the first people you meet. Let us guide you and feel free to start with the website. If we don't fit your needs, we will tell you, and even help get you to the right people to help. For now, let www.calaironline.com be a great start to get some initial information and guidance. We're here to help!

Big Discounts for End of Summer Cirrus Training Event!

With summer travels about over and the kids heading back to school soon, it's time to get back on track with your passion and take back the skies. So with that in mind, we're holding a "End of Summer Training Event".

September 1st - 15th, place on account $2750, and we'll add an additional $250! A $3,000 value.

Also, September 4th - 12th, take up or 2003 SR-20, N21ZE, and if you'd like an instructor to come along, they'll fly with for free! Take advantage, get some approaches done, fly maneuvers, or even get caught up with an IPC or BFR, it's your choice.

(Keep in mind though that if you elect to do an IPC or BFR, or want any ground training, we'll still need to get the ground paid for but the in-flight instruction time is on us!)

It's the hottest deal in Los Angeles this summer! ...ok, that was a bit much but you get the idea.

Affordable Cirrus Flight Training SR-20

Fact, we've always tried to keep flight training as affordable as possible. And if you do a little research you'll still find us more cost effective than even our closest competitors. However, with a change of ownership on our 2003 SR-20, N21ZE, we've collectively come up with some ideas to help promote the Cirrus lifestyle with us at CalAir.

With that we've decided to drop the hourly rate of N21ZE to $195 an hour! You won't find it anymore affordable to fly a full glass panel, professionally maintained Cirrus at a Cirrus approved Training Center. We've also got a few upgrades on the way, further making this an even greater deal.

So whether you are looking to fly the newest, the fastest, or most affordable, we've got a Cirrus for every pilot.

CalAirOnline.com Changes on The Way!

We must admit, we've fallen a little behind of recent keeping our website up to date with all the wonderful changes that have taken place since we moved our Cirrus Training to Hawthorne Airport, KHHR.

With a new 2015 SR-20 on the way, new team members on board, and more and more services available to our Los Angeles based Cirrus pilots, we've got a lot to roll out!

We apologize for any confusion this may cause anyone and, for the time being, strongly advise that you please inquire either via phone call or email with any questions that you may have.

We'll keep you all advised when we get the new website roll out and up and running!

The "Do's" of Cirrus Flight Training in Los Angeles

Learning the "Right Way"...

There’s a right way and wrong way to do most things in life. Granted, it can be a little subjective at times, but I think most would agree to let the bread thaw out before you lather it up for your next PB and J, right? (Either that or I’ve been wasting so much time in my life, or need to stop eating like a 10 year old). But even that has it’s “do’s and don’ts”, and it’s certainly no different when learning how to fly, especially in Cirrus aircraft.

Check out some of these “Do’s”:

  • Fly with a factory certified school
  • Learn by way of syllabuses and standardized curriculum
  • Learn only with the newest technology (Listen, the FAA is starting to federally mandate technology, sorry to all the other pilots who feel that Cirrus pilots “don’t know how to fly”, but guess what? We’ll see you in soon to teach how to use some of this newer “stuff” about to become required for flight, hate to say “I told you so”)
  • Fly with in safe aircraft, i.e., parachute!
  • Fly what you want, even if it means saving up a little more prior to beginning (We've seen it time and time again, folks start in an older aircraft to “save money” but lone and behold, they’re not happy with the plane, and usually all sorts of other things, and come to us later to fly Cirrus. Problem is, you're back tracking a bit “re-learning” a few things and worse part is you could have been flying with the exemplary safety features all along! )
Frankly, we could write a book on the “Do’s and Don’ts”, who knows, maybe one day we will, but in the meantime, call us, schedule an appointment, ask us tons of questions (we love them, really), and fly what you want to fly, not what your friend who got a PPL ten years ago says or what some mailer from Captain Joe “airline pilot” with a plane for rent says.

We’re the experts on flight training, not those guys. We eat, breathe, and sleep flight training. It’s our business, so let us help!
